I believe the role of design is articulating challenges and asking the right questions. In the end, in collaboration with the product, engineering, and business counterparts, we — as designers — must deliver the simplest solution for the customer while understanding and hiding all of the complexity.
The Design team is the keepers of customer delight and customer love. They are the ones who are the closest to what the customer touches at the end of the day.
The design team at DoorDash is very unique and bold. Designers truly understand the challenges of our end users and build solutions that are out of the box. They always go above and beyond to make sure we deliver a great experience to our end-users at all times.
Our designers are thoughtful, smart, and are driven by principles that are truly aimed at building things that are going to serve our customers. I am always impressed by the ability to take the complex legal issues I bring to them and translate them into solutions that not only address those concerns but also that serve our customers even better.
This group of holistic thinkers takes new features and products from abstract problem statements to carefully crafted designs. Along the way you’ll see them lead brainstorming sessions, do visual and interaction designs, run user research, and iterate closely with the product and engineering teams to ship world-class products.
